And Jesus said to them, "Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his [accomplishments]." And he told them a parable, saying, "The [mind] of a rich [wo]man produced plentifully, and [s]he thought to [her]self, 'What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my [thoughts]?' And [s]he said, 'I will do this: I will tear down my [blog] and build [a more accomplished one], and there I will store all my [thoughts] and my [writings]. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample [publications and a great reputation]; relax, eat, drink, be merry.' But God said to [her], 'Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?' So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God."

Subject: xenia high school journalism class
Creation Date: 10/10/2010 10:46 AM

Mayor Bayless,

My name is Lyndsey, and I am Cleveland-native student teaching at Xenia High School until December. When I met you at The Cleft open house at the Y, you seemed very open to meeting members of the community and, especially, investing in the youth.

I was wondering if, in the coming month, you would be interested in visiting my classroom and allowing my high school journalism students to hold a press conference with you on what is happening in Xenia. They would create all of the questions themselves, and (after I approved of them) pose them to you. During the press conference, they would be required to take notes, and afterwards, their assignment would be to write up a news article on the conference.

Please let me know if this is something you would be willing to do. I can fashion my lesson plans around the day you plan to visit. (My journalism classes, by the way, are in the afternoon after lunch -- I believe the first section starts around 12:50).

Thank you for your time.

Lyndsey

However innumerable sentient beings are, I vow to save them;however inexhaustible the passions are, I vow to master them;however limitless the teachings are, I vow to study them;however infinite the Buddha-truth is, I vow to attain it.
